The lead single, “Rolling Down The 405,” was also released today. It’s a breezy road song with jaunty, freewheeling rhythms and a JJ Cale meets Leon Bridges flair, grounded in the gritty storytelling of classic country music. Mark Klassen shot and directed the music video.

Jeremie Albino’s journey to the stage began on a farm in Ontario, where he honed his craft by busking on the streets of Toronto. This early experience kindled a passion for performance that he has since channeled into his electrifying live shows, showcasing his raw talent and stage presence.

Albino has grown his audience from the streets of Toronto to venues across Canada and the U.S. He has toured with Orville Peck, Sierra Farrell, Shovels & Rope, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and JD McPherson.

Along the way, he caught the attention of Dan Auerbach, who produced this new collection after a chance encounter with Albino’s music, which left him mesmerized.

“The first time I saw Jeremie, it was just him and his acoustic. His voice was amazing. I instantly loved his style and charisma — I didn’t know it could just be so real,” Auerbach remembers of first hearing Albino. “When we brought him in the studio, it was a dream session. He’s so talented, comfortable with who he is — he’s able to put everyone in the room at ease and bring people together with his music.”

Jeremie Albino’s music has carved out a unique niche in Americana, folk, blues, and country. His sound, a fusion of diverse influences, sets him apart in the contemporary country, folk, and blues landscape.

Jeremie Albino’s most recent album, Tears You Hide (2023), a product of his long-standing collaboration with manager Crispin Day, is a poignant tribute to family, resilience, and the journey ahead. It’s a deeply personal record that charts Albino’s growth as an artist, inviting listeners to share his experiences.

With his debut album, Hard Time (2019), Albino was a supporting act for JD McPherson and St. Paul & The Broken Bones on his first round of U.S. tours. In 2020, he accompanied Shovels & Rope on tour through the U.K. and Europe and later collaborated with Michael Trent, who produced Albino’s E.P., Past Dawn (2022). He has also performed alongside Orville Peck and Cat Clyde.

During his time as a farmer in Prince Edward County, Albino experienced firsthand the importance of a supportive and collaborative community, which influenced his music. A testament to this is Blue Blue Blue (2021), a collaboration with Cat Clyde. They recorded a collection of covers and originals, paying homage to the great storytellers of the past. Yet encounters with loneliness led to the E.P. Past Dawn (2022).
