In an interview, The Kentucky Gentlemen shared their admiration for Parton, saying that her remarkable career has been a constant source of inspiration and blueprint for them. They credit her infectious positivity, perseverance, and unapologetic approach to embracing her unique style and voice as valuable lessons that have helped shape their music.

“Beg Your Parton” follows the duo’s two previous successful singles, “Leave Right Now” and “Neon Cowboy,” which have garnered nearly half a million streams and received praise from publications like Queerty and American Songwriter. The Kentucky Gentlemen’s debut EP, The Kentucky Gentlemen: Vol. 1, has also received acclaim from NPR Music, CMT, Billboard, and Rolling Stone, who called their breakout single “Whatever You’re Up For” “the most compelling commercial-country slow jam of the year.” With their unique sound and undeniable talent, The Kentucky Gentlemen have quickly established themselves as one of Nashville’s most exciting up-and-coming country acts. They were named one of GLAAD’s “New Voices in Country Music” and an “Artist To Watch” by Nashville Scene. The duo’s success has also led to collaborations with other artists, such as Will Hoge and Fancy Hagood, and appearances on popular podcasts like WXPN’s Artist To Watch and World Cafe. The Kentucky Gentlemen will be celebrating the release of “Beg Your Parton” on the Cayamo Cruise next week, and they have several festival appearances scheduled later this year at Tortuga Music Festival and Bourbon & Beyond. Overall, The Kentucky Gentlemen’s newest single “Beg Your Parton” is a testament to the power of perseverance, staying true to oneself, and the influence of great artists like Dolly Parton. With their undeniable talent and infectious energy, The Kentucky Gentlemen are sure to continue making waves in the country music scene for years to come.
